Defence of the sunken road 2

  I did a bit of landscape modelling to go with my American Civil War figures. All figures here are as seen in the Italeri Confederate Infantry set in 1:72 (ie, a human figure is about an inch, 22-25mm, tall).  inspired by accounts of defence of sunken roads in ACW battles, I wondered how such a feature could be represented in a model. Then built one.  The model was built up as a shell in plastic sheet and scraps over formers to denote a road passing between two slopes on either side. it was coated in Milliput resin putty to denote landscaping, walls and fences were added from stick bits, and static grass/flock was used for foliage. The figures are "generic" and represent no particular Confederate state - just Rebel soldiers circa 1862 before supply shortages started to bite.
